The largest High School theatre festival in the world, including students and teachers from all around the world, has finally taken place during Spring break in Tampa, Florida to recognize students for their theatrical talent.

This event included the following students from our school: Madison Brown, Yadhyra Diaz, Yalene Elias, Ciara LaTouche, Hunter Gilliam, Anthony Mora, Anthony Philistin, Lydia Williams, and Naheemah Brutus. Then their teacher Kayla Smith.

The students traveled by train to the festival on Tuesday, March 19 and came back Sunday, March 24th. “While there, we participated in technical and performance theatre workshops from professionals, some who have worked on Broadway, attended full plays produced by award winning high school theatre groups, and participating students performed and presented their individual events” stated by Kayla Smith.

The trip seemed really informational for everyone there, and there were so many things to look forward to. “The trip was really fun and informative for me”, said one of the many students who went.
